Business & jobs
Creating a good framework for businesses to settle and develop in the area is a key focus for Herning Municipality.
The key to this is a strong tradition of co-operation between businesses, authorities and education institutions, and a strong will to move things ahead together. With Ikast-Brande Municipal, we have a very strong business council that work for an excellent day-to-day service for our local businesses. They also work on constantly developing and improving longer term factors, like for example the infrastructure of the area.
Our area has strong influences from the textile industry. But nowadays, Herning has a very varied business environment with strong and innovative players within for example metal, production, IT services, energy, hospitality, experience and service industries.
