International networks and events

You will not be the only international here in Herning – in fact we have a very strong international community in the area.

An easy place to start as an international in the Herning area is International Society. Each month they host popular social events like "cook and talk" and quiz nights. Here you can get to know other internationals and internationally minded Danes. Find out about events and activities at the Expat in Herning & Ikast-Brande website, and to keep updated sign-up for their newsletter.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a network for active citizens aged 18 to 40 wishing to make a difference for themselves and others. The local chapter JCI Herning International hold all their activities in English.

The same goes for Herning International MidWest Rotary Club, a local and international network of local business people.

Herning Library is much more than books, magazines and a quiet room. Placed at the main shopping street (Østergade), with it's modern architecture, it's become a popular study place and a place to hang out for a coffee or to meet a friend. The library hosts numerous events and every last Thursday (except July and December) there is an in English introduction to the library.
